Washington DC Row House Renovation
Washington, DC
Before This DC row house included a dark, closed galley kitchen and tiny den at the rear of the house. There was minimal, awkward access to the rear yard.
After The clients, a young family, asked for more informal living space, an inviting and open kitchen, and a strong connection to the rear yard. This was accomplished with a small addition and associated renovation on two levels. An existing lower level garage was converted to a large family room, which enjoys direct access to the expanded kitchen via a new rear staircase. Both levels are provided with direct access to the yard and new dining terrace.
